What goes into the Mowcast?
The score starts with local forecast data, then weighs turf wetness, recent and upcoming rain, temperature, humidity, sun exposure, wind, and the likely mowing window. You can tune whether comfort matters, limit the forecast window, or focus on weekends.
Is AI deciding when I should mow?
No. The operating app is data and rules based. It uses weather inputs and a transparent scoring model. It is not asking an AI model to decide whether your lawn should be cut.
Why does comfort matter?
Heat, humidity, direct sun, and wind affect how rough the job feels. Mowcaster balances that human side with turf conditions so the best score is not just the driest grass.
Can I ignore the recommendation?
Yes. You can still mow whenever you want. The Mowcast is a practical signal for planning, not a command, and local lawn stress, shade, slope, and mower type still matter.
